SmartSync and Security

I have a question concerning SmartSync and Security issues. During Synchronization the SyncBo calls the corresponding BAPI wrapper in the specified RFC destination right ?

Which user is used for this ?

If I specify the RFC destination with a specific user - is this user always used for the RFC function call or is the current user of the Web AS (taken from the Mobile Client user) used ?

What happens if I use a timed synchronization type ? Which user is used then ?

    Hi Martin,

you're right. The Smart Sync message is only processed under the mobile device user's ID if the processing happens synchronously. Any asynchronous call (like the data replication for timed 2 way or asynchronous processing of a message for 2-way) would happen under the batch user. This is why the merep_pd transaction has the flag 'Allow batch user for processing' on the handler tab.

    Cu, Jan
