Error during installation of WAS 6.3

I'm trying to install WebAs 6.30 on my PC.

O.S. is Windows XP Professional with RAM 512 mb

and more than 1,5 Gb on a NTFS filesystem.

I'm connected as a user defined as Administrator.

AT step "SAP System Installation/CReating SAP system port for C11" I received back an error during installation of "J2EE Engine 6.30 DEveloper Edition".

Looking into log sapinst_dev.log the last info  are:

TRACE

Ejs_Base::dispatchFunctionCall()

JS Callback has thrown exception

Could someone give me an help ?

My situation was:

I had a primary partion on disk C: with fs FAT32 with 32 GigaBytes (50 % free) and an extended second partition on disk 😧 with 1,5 Gigabytes with fs NTFS and the remaining 8 Giga dedicated to Linux. I tried install on disk 😧

After convert the primary partition to NTFS the installation was completed succesfully. Obviously WebaS was installed on disk C:

Yes, that's exactly what it does. In the latest installations you can change this...

How about checking if this port was free?

Are you running SAPDB or MaxDB already?
