Hi,
I would like to import an application example from the sappress book "Web Application Server" which is provided as two ".WAF" files. Any hints how to get the example application into WAS 6.20?
Thanks and merry x-mas

Hi Kris,
I have no clue what a WAF file is (could it be WAR?), but what you need is java files and those can be imported to exsiting java projects via a wizard you find in the "File" menu.

Hi Benny,
sorry for my wrong wording - this question concerns the ABAP/BSP world, no java / j2ee / .war at all.
The WAF files can be downloaded from the sappress.de website and shall contain a BSP sample application. The download link at least says "transport request for the Practical Exercise"
Maybe this question fits better in the ABAP forum?

Hello Kris
Could it be that WAF is the sid (system id) of the minisap system delivered with the BSP book?
It seems to be Transport files, so I think you should import the files with the TP program.
I'm no expert, so I can't tell you exactly how.
If your client is 000 it should be something like :
1) copy the files to the transport directory ?
2) At OS level: tp addtobuffer "some more parameters"
3) At OS level: tp import "some more parameters" client000 (or import in SAP with transaction STMS)
I hope this helps you in the rigth direction.
I will try this myself when I get some more time.
When you succed, it would be nice if you would make a posting telling us how.
with best regards
