Install help Minisap 6.20 needed.

Hello all

I don't know if this is the right forum to get help about Minisap 6.20 issues - I just don't know where else to ask.

I have installed the Minisap on windows XP professional and it went quit well. The system is running and I can logon and browse through the transactions.

I skipped 2 steps of the installation notes and maybe that is a problem, but I simple don't know where to find these options in Windows XP:

1) Open the network connectivity definition with start->control panel->network connections for defining the network connection. Select ->extended-> allow other users in network. Activate new configurations.

2) Select remote desktop within extended configuration menu.

Some of the problems:

=0( I try to set up the transport system as documented, but when I run the ZR3_TMS_CONFIG, I first get 2 warnings then a report pups up and when I press F3 the error occurs: Error configuring domain controller.

=0( In SM37 the 2 jobs EU_PUT and EU_REORG failed with: Logon of user HIEBLE in client 100 failed when starting a step.

=0( If I try to crate a program I just get the message ?Change and Transport system not configured? followed by message ?Action terminated?

Please help

    Hi again

    I found the error.

The installation documentation is not very specific in this line:

"Before configuring the Change and Transport System please unpack TP.zip "

I unzipped the file into the C:MiniWAS but the files was placed in a folder called TP. I guess a basis consultant would know that the files should be directly in the MiniWAS folder, but I didn't.

    Now I do.

I would still like to know the purpose of the "allow other users in network" and "remote desktop" parameters in Windows XP - and where to find them.

    Best regards

    Hi Thomas,

I hope you can help me out I've just purchased the book ABAP Objects and was trying to install it 2 CD's onto my laptop (which has Microsoft XP) I know the CD requires either NT or 2000, but I search this website and saw your posting that you managed to install it on XP, could you help me out in installing it.

I installed the CD1, and automatically it starts the installation, but then stops, I looked at the file C:\system32\drivers\etc\services must not contain an entry for port 3600, but there wasn't anything there to change. I believe it must be something to do with the kernal as it messes up my internet explorer, so had to re-install XP. Is there anything else I should be doing?

    Regards

    Ash
