I am trying to install SAP Web Application Server 6.30 Developer Edition . it could not install it says "Could not determine a valid JAVA_HOME directory from the environment."

please help

in addtion to installing JDK or JRE, you must define environment variable. I know that UNIX does not automatically do it so you must do it yourself but not sure on windows.

I don't think 1.3 is available any more but it is the version for J2EE 620. try using 1.4.2.03 or 1.4.2.07.

also, are the dates correct? your post says nov 1, 2003.

Hi Venkat,

You need to install J2SE SDK version 1.3.1_07 before you install SAP WebAS. Please check the system requirement. J2 Version  1.3.1_07is available in the CD itself.
