WebAs 6.30 platform availability

Folks,

got the question here if WAS 6.30 will have the same platform availability as WAS 6.20.

The plan is to install WAS 6.30 on a Solaris 2.8 environment using the following HW: 1GHz, RAM > 1GB, Hard disk > 10 GB.

Does this mak sense or are there any restrictions?

Regards

Thorsten

    Hi Thorsten,

there are some restrictions regarding platform availability for Web AS 6.30 compared to Web AS 6.20, but Solaris is supported, of course. Your hardware environment should be ok for a stand-alone installation. Please note that the only data bases you can use with Web AS 6.30 on Solaris are SAP DB, Oracle 9.2, and DB 6.

    Best regards
