Create DataType from XSD fiel

Hi,

I have a set of XSD schema files provided by an industry standardisation group. I want to develop a mapping from SAP IDOC to this industry standard. I think I first have to create a data type from this XSD files and then I can create message types from this data types.

How can I create a message or data type from this XSD files? I have not found any import button or so. I can only view the XSD file on the XI when creating a data type manually and download this XSD. Is there also a possibility to upload an XSD?

Cheers,

Jürgen

Hi Jurgen,

U can now import the XSD/XML into Integration Repository for XI2.0 SP2 level.

In the Int.Repository, Expand the Mapping Objects node. Create a new Message Mapping.

In the Message Mapping Window, under the Design Tab folder, Choose the Value help ( hand/question mark button). There u can choose Import XML/XSD, for both Source Document and the Target Document.

Thanks

Thank you for the reply.

I have seen that possibility.

But how do I define my Interface then? Because in the interface I have to add a message type. And in the way that you proposed I do not have a message type object as such.

Hi Jurgen,

In the Interface add a message type for namesake because it wont allow to activate the interface with out a message type defined. Since you are importing the XML file , the interface will take only the imported XML file not the message type defined.

Hope this helps

thanks
