TERP10 Changes

Hi

I understand there have been changes to the TERP10 exam and curriculum. I can cope with changes to the curriculum but I think academics need advice as to the changes to the exam. The purpose of the course is to educate our students about SAP ERP integration as well as getting them certified. I would like to know what the changes to the exam are so I can advise my students to enhance their chances of passing. I do not want to know what the specific questions are but more about changes to structure and emphasis.

can anybody help?

Hi,

I understand that TERP 10 can be offered as a semester long course. Does any one have experience do this or know who may be doing this? Does the SAP UA provide for the availability of the TERP 10 instructor materials for doing this type of delivery? That is do they provide the TERP 10 manual and the slide deck for this? We are interested in learning who is doing this and the arrangements with SAP AG for the course materials and arrangements for the exam. Any insights are most appreciated.

Hi

We have offered TERP10 in a number of formats, block mode (10 days, 15 days, 13 days) and weekend mode (7 weekends). We found that 10 days was not enough time for the trudents to understand the content. We start each day with a multiple choice test to reinforce concepts covered. This takes approximately 90 minutes each day depending on the size of the test. We also provide a large take home test for students to do over the middle weekend. We also found that weekend mode was not suitable as students tended to forget what was covered in the previous weeks. TERP10 is difficult and it should be the sole focus for the students. We have determened that 13 days block mode is most suitable and some days finish a bit early depending on the difficulty of the topic covered that day.

After saying this it must be remembered that these students are at the masters level and may have completed up to 10 SAP related subjects.

If you are going to offer TERP10 over the semester then I suggest that you think of strategies to keep the students focussed on the content such as study groups or student presentations on the different topics. One thing I suggest to students is to develop a diagram which represents all the integration points between the different modules, the data exchanged and the events which trigger these exchanges.

Good Luck

Hi Paul!

When you offered the TERP 10 course in the 7 weekends mode, did you have to pay the system hosting fee for 7 weeks or was that amount the same as you have to pay for a "normal" 10 / 13 days course ?

Thanks and best regards

Hi Roland

That is something you will have to negotiate with your local UCC. We are self hosted and thus have the IDES data set which TERP10 is based on.

Hi

This is the update I got from SAP. The explanation below is not clear and confusing. I am still asking for further information.

www.sap.com/services/education/certification/certificationtest.epx?context=%5b%5bC_TERP10_65|G%5d%5d

Based on our analysis of the C_TERP10_05 and C_TERP10_60 exams SAP has conducted a review and made more significant changes than originally planned in the update to C_TERP10_65. This will considerably improve the exam experience for our customers taking the C_TERP10_65.

The new C_TERP10_65 exam will be available on November 8, 2010.

The C_TERP10_05 and C_TERP10_60 exams will then be retired on Dec 31, 2010.

According to subject matter experts there are only minor terminology changes from version 6.0 to 6.5 (i.e. Procurement Cycle = purchase-to-pay business process) which should not hinder the test takersu2019 success in the exam.

Regards

Paul

Paul & fellow UA Members,

Thanks for sharing the update about TERP10 Certification.

Is there a schedule for 2011?

I am looking in East coast.
