Hi All,

I have some questions about the Monitoring tools available in XI. Other than "SXMB_MONI" Transaction Monitor & Adapter Monitoring tools what are the tools available for troubleshooting , Debugging XI Infrastructure & Configuration ?

I went through the websites of Companies like SEEBURGER, Webmethods where I found some custom Adapters . What about Monitoring tools provided by thirdparty vendors ?

Is there any tool which give Email alerts etc when a system connected with XI stop responding due to network failure or for any other reason ?

thanks

Mathew

Hi Mathew,

The new version of XI will have more Monitoring features................

For 3rd Party Adapters, contact them directly, if u have purchased one from them.

New Adapter for alerts like email will be available soon in the new release of the Adapter Engine.

Thanks

Hi Mathew,

You can configure CCMS monitoring that trigers email in XI 2.0 as well.

See document written under the Developer Area for XI. https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sapportals.km.docs/documents/a1-8-4/how to enable basic ccms monitoring for sap xi 2.0 runtime

Cut'n paste the whole string.

Additionally you can do some monitoring of the adapters in XI 2.0 through the Runtime Workbench (RWB). XI 3.0 will extend the monitoring of certain 3rd party adaters into the RWB to allow technical end to end tracking.

Hi Mathew,

like Anders stated you can used CCMS Agent e.g. SAPCCMSR to monitored the module of the adapter egine. You can parse for error String like Java Exception and send the information to the ccms which you have to configured in XI-Server. In XI-Server you can then used email zentraled autoreaction method to send email to the user who responsible for the interface.

Futhermore you can user GRMG technics to monitored hearbeat of the Adapter-Egine or other component like SLD.
