Connecting MSMQ to XI 2.0 using a MSMQ Adapter

Hi there,

There is a scenario wherein I have to connect a MSMQ system to a SCM Event Manager through XI 2.0. To connect the MSMQ to the XI, we have the MSMQ Adapter which runs on WebMethods Integration runtime. I have a few question on the same:

1. Can we have the runtime installed at the customer's site (behind the firewall) and have the

XI at our end?

2. Can this runtime be installed on to an existing system or do we need a dedicated machine?

3. Is there some place where I can get some documnetation on the installation and configuration

of the MSMQ adapter (I have already checked out www.webmethods.com and

www.wmusers.com without much luck)?

Hi Vijay,

Below are the answers:

1. From XI side its ok as long as u can access the runtime. Check with requirements for accessing the runtime with ur Security Experts.

2. Check with ur vendor(Web Mehods) from where u bought the runtime.

3. We cannot answer this question as we are not providing the MSMQ adapter. Try other search help sites????? may be Micorsoft?????

XI2.0 uses JMS Adapter to connect to 3rd Party Systems for messaging. Check the SAP Adapter Engine Documentation for more information.
