Publish/subscribe

Hi,

I saw in a XI festures presentation that the integration server is able to use a Publish/Subscribe messaging model.

Is there someone which knows this feature ?

Thank You.

Greg.

      Hello Greg,

The true sense of Publish/Subscribe is still being realized within SAP XI. What is possible at the moment is that within the SAP XI Integration Directory (XID), one is able to route one message to one or multiple recipients in a sense of "publishing" a document once instead of numerous times. This decreases the redundancy of interfaces needed (as compared to other point-2-point configurations), the number of messages in the waiting queue and thus guaranteeing data integrity to the multiple recipients or "subscribers" awaiting the document. This also lowers TCO (Total Cost of Ownership).

      Regards,

      John Ta
