Web: Linking Similar Objects

I'm creating a web template that includes information from several queries based on different InfoCubes. I'd like to use a single drop-down list to allow the user to select the value of an InfoObject that appears as a (dimensional) characteristic in one cube and a navigable attribute in another. Since the technical names are not the same (OBJECT1 versus OBJECT2__OBJECT1) it is not sufficient to select both data providers in the 'List' of the 'Affected Data Providers' property, however the user would not perceive them as different and would not expect to have to select them separately.

Can anyone suggest a way to link the two objects to the same drop-down control?

    Hi Robert,

just do the following: Use a drop-Down-Box web item with the attribute ONLY_VALUES = X and generate_caption = . This will result in HTML coding of only the option values. Now you can easily create your own select-HTML-Tag with an onchange Javascript-Command. Use the Web API (Online Documentation to create your own filter command).

Thank you very much for your response.

I have added the form and the select block that obtains its values from the data provider, and the Onchange command as you suggested. It works fine for filtering either table, but I cannot find the syntax for specifying two data providers and their respective filter objects in the same action= command. The online help includes FILTER examples where two objects update multiple data providers but not my case; I've tried every combination I can think of including adding CMD_1=... , CMD_2=... so far without success.

Here's my test code that includes just two providers and a single drop-down. Can you suggest how I need to modify it to have the desired effect?

      Many thanks,
