How to use PAYR Datasource

Hi All,

I have a requirement to create cube which picks data from following datasources

ODS 0FIAP_O03

Custom ODS based on EKBE table

Custom ODS based on PAYR table

ODS 0FIAP_O03 & Custom ODS based on EKBE table are having Key figures to update but Custom ODS based on PAYR table do not have Key Figures to update.

When I create update rules based on above datasources, I am able to create succussfully update rules for ODS 0FIAP_O03 & Custom ODS based on EKBE table but for Custom ODS based on PAYR table its giving error and I am not able to activate Update rule since its not having Key Figure.

I see only one option, I dont create Update rule for Custom ODS based on PAYR table & look up for data of PAYR in update rule of ODS 0FIAP_O03 for the characterstics I want from PAYR ODS.

I have only one doubt, 0FIAP_O03 is delta compatible where as ODS on PAYR and EKBE are not delta compatible as far as R/3 is concerened.

If there is a change in BSIK/BSAK table then only I will get Delta for 0FIAP_O03 and since look up for PAYR characterstics is done in update rule of 0FIAP_O03 delta may not take place if there is no change.

I want to know whether change in PAYR means change in BSIK/BSAK ?

if that is a case then look up in Update rule of 0FIAP_O03 will work otherwise not?

I need your advice asap.
