Is it possible to search the comments of files? I created a File System Repository I can search the content of the files but not the comments on the files. Is it possible with CM Repositories?

There are three types of properties in CM. Application properties, which includes Comments, are not indexed.

    1. System properties: These are automatically created by CM. These include properties such as created by, create date, modified date etc. In the case of FSDB for example, these properties the file system itself. Each repository has certain system properties.

    2. Application properties: Application properties are created when a CM application needs to save information for a folder, doc, link etc for use later. Examples are subscription, comments, feedback, personal notes, workflow etc.

    3. User defined properties: These include "custom" properties and "predefined" properties created in the Property Metadata Service. Examples would be a specific piece of metadata a customer would like to search for or use for building QBTs, like Department, Product, etc.
