KM Custom properties - Transport

I am planning to define several custom properties in our Dev environment, was wondering whther there is a way to transport them to QA and Prod, without having to type them all over again.

On a similar note I have same issue with customising Layout Sets is there a way to transport them to QA and Prod.

Even if I have to do this manually by copying files it is fine.

Answering the layout-sets question:

Since EP 6.0 SP1 and EP 5.0 SP6 you can easily export and import layout-sets.

Unfortunately there is no quick and easy way to do this for the properties.
