KM Performance

We are looking at using CM Repository in KM. We would be bulk loading several 1000's of Folders and Documents. Approx. 18,000 Folder and 100,000 Documents spread across the Folders. Question -

1. What are the performance implication of using such High Volume in Explorer iViews and TREX Search.

2. Is there any one out their who are Productive which such high numbers.
