What tool can be used for version controls for Roles, Worksets, Pages, etc.

We came across a question from our customer in regards to version control for Roles, Worksets, Pages, etc. Our customer has EP 5.0 SP 5. Is there any tool around that supports the version control or, at list, can copy such objects in the save location? Thank you for help.
