Difference between Proj Stk (Acct Assgn Q) and Special Stock Ind Q

Hi All - Can someone explain to me the difference between project stock with account assignment of Q on PO and special stock indicator of Q?

Hi

Project Stock with A/C Assignment Q in PO --:> This is a special Stock which is ordered for a project. Account assingment category Q will ensure that system will charge the material procurement to Project and will put the stock under Project Stock when you receive the items from Vendor.

When the goods are received for such PO , system will assign a special stock indicator Q to that stock.

So A/C Account Category Q and Stock Indicator both are related to Projects. You may also have a stock with category Q without Buying it from a vendor against a PO with account assignemnt category Q. This happens when you do a transfer posting from your inventory to a Project, in order to reserve the stock for a project.
