Hi,
I have a question regarding planned depreciation, I have an asset with the following values
Take Over Date- 31.12.2009
Ordinary Deprciation Start Date: 01.01.2008
Expired Useful Life - 2 years
Useful Life - 3 years
So I am expecting the total value of planned depreciation to be apportioned for 12 months but the system is apportioning for 10 months? Why this difference any ideas???
Thanks,
Sri
Hi Sri,
The below might the reasons for calculating Dep for only 10 months.
1. The Dep start date must be in the middle of the year. Check out the Capitalization date and ord dep start date.
Thanks

Have a look what are the values for posted depreciation periods in T093C and taba (TC se16)
When you look to period 3 is it then planned the value for the first 3 months?
When you transport asset accouting from a developent system first reset asset accounting. In some cases it takes the vallues from the last depreciation run to production. (it is possible that you tested it up to period 2 in development)
Hi,
There could be many reasons why you have depreciation for only 10 months.
1. Check your depreciaiton key. Is it based on useful life or any other method? Is the issue only for this asset or for all assets used with this key?
2. Check if you have any scrap value for the asset
3 Could it be due to a shortened Fiscal year
4. Recheck your workings from the beginning once again.
5. If the none of the above works, you have to redifine your issue with more details.
Thanks,
Jagdish
Hi
As per your issue
I think ....check acquisition date as well as asset capitalization date. it should be from 01.01.2008
than only system will calculate the depreciation for 12 months...
I hope will get some idea..
