Asset Accounting and two fiscal year variant

Hi All

1. We have one US based company which has a branch in India as well. For this i have implemented New GL concept and Created one Non-Leading Ledger along with existing Leading Ledger.

2. Now - I am using the Fixed Assets Module. And i wanted use one more Fiscal year variant V3 for Indian local reporting purpose.

3. We are using K4 fiscal year variant for Leading ledger and V3 fiscal year variant for Non- Leading Ledger

  1. Now in Asset Accounting system is throwing me an error saying that K4 and V3 fiscal year variants Starting date and Ending date are not matching.

  2. Is there any way to proceed with out errors by maintaining K4 and V3 fiscal year variants in Asset Accounting? Kindly Help me to full fill this requirement.

Surya

that is the standard functionality of SAP. refere note no. 1175751 - Project solution for alternative fiscal year variant

    HI,

check SAPNET notes 1175751 and 844029 which describe technical limitations regarding asset accounting and different fiscal year variants (start date / end date).

    best regards, Christian

    Dear Surya Narayanan,

As per as Standard SAP it is not possiable to maintain different Fiscal Year Varient, incase If the two Fiscal Year Varient have the same Start Date and End Date, then we can maintain. Please chekc the above menctioned SAP Notes.
