SSO Fails for new R/3 users

Just wondering if anyone else has problems with SSO from the portal to an R/3 client for new R/3 users or users who get their R/3 password re-set by an administrator? We have SSO installed using SAP sign on certificates to 3 R/3 systems, however when users go via the portal and access an R/3 system for the first time they are prompted with an R/3 change password screen. Once they change this password, SSO works as normal and they are not prompted for a password again. We do not use user mapping, so I would have thought the password was irrelevant.

    You are right password should be irrelevant. And it is here in my installations.

    But this more a security issue. I think you missed sth. in your R/3 configuration. Just open an OSS message to find an expert on this.
