SAPQueries with portaldataviewer.SAPQueryTemplate

Hi,

I am trying to display a SAP Query in the portal using the com.sapportals.pct.srv.portaldataviewer.SAPQueryTemplate master iView. With queries that do not use any "Program selection" (eg. Cost Centers, Cost Element) or do not display a lot of data by default my iView works just fine.

But if this is not the case I get a time-out.

Is there a way to predefine these program selections from within the iView? With other iViews I can define name/value pairs to limit the search results. Is this somehow possible with SAPQueryTemplates as well?

Thanks for any advice,

Holger.

    Hi Holger,

it is always a good ABAP or SQL style to limit the number of selects ("select * from *up to 200"). lets say not more than 200 in ABAP not more than 50 in web applications. Otherwise you have to configure your portal and your ABAP server to handle large amounts of data. And this is really "finest tuning".
