Exporting PAR in NWDS 7.1

Hi

Can anyone tell me how to export a PAR file using NWDS 7.1

I can import a PAR file but I can not export PAR file using NWDS 7.1

Hi,

For exporting a PAR file, do the following steps inside nwds.

1. right click on the portal application project -> choose option - Quick PAR Upload

2. check the checkbox - include the source code of the portal app and click finish

It will create the PAR file of the application inside the same project folder location.

There is no export Par option available in CE 7.1 as your component will be deployed as a EAR (Enterprise Archive).

To deploy your application in to portal,

1. Right click on your portal -> Export -> EAR -> Finish

2. Go to Deploy View -> Right click on the root node -> Add -> select your application to add it.

3. Right click on your added application -> deploy

4. Give portal admin user id and pwd if required.

Hi JM,

In NWDS 7.1, there is no option to export a par file and in CE a par file cannot be deployed directly.

So, you have to use the conversion tool (Par Migration Tool) to convert par to ear.

Also, you can create an sca/sda/Ear based on prooject and then convert it to par file using conversion tool if that is required.
