SUM inventory - lost & found SU

Hi everyone,

i'm preparing for stock taking at the end of the year and found a problem on my storage unit managed warehouse.

I will perform the inventory via RF.

If I have a pallet wrongly stored (in system at position A but phisically at position B) I won't be able to perform correctly because if I read position A and mark it as empty bin i'll never be allow to correct it even if i found it later!

So, I cannot read it in any other place neither correct the counting if i change the position of the pallet...

I don't know if i've explained my issue properly, if i haven't please let me know.

i've already searched for answers for my problem but i found nothing.

Best regards,

André Costa

Hi ,

Firstly the primary issue is not in SAP. Your warehouse house people not maintainng the stock on proper bin ,that end up you have this problem. You warehouse people must be educated how to use the system efficiently. If some time your the bin is fully occupied and you want to place next bin , then you must have implemented the Dynamic bin strategy that searches next available bin.

Secondly, this is an ad-hoc scenario, you have to do this steps in SAP not using RF guns.

Execute Li11N, Against emply bin check zero flag near to unit of measure. This check will make quanity of storage bin as zero.

Go to LI20 select emply bin and click on clear tab ( this clears physical inventory indicater from storage bins )

Hope it helps

Hi, I understand what u've said, and i'm not expecting to have this problem... BUT... it may happen and I must be prepared for it!

With external audit I can't say "ups... my bad, we must restart and store this pallet over there!"

Regarding your second point, i can't clear an inventory difference without complete the inventory document... So I'll never be able to make the SU "appear" in other location...

If the position "A" is empty according to the system, then finish the Inventory counting and clear inventory differences. Perform Re-counting, when you found the material. Then follow the steps mentioned in my last thread.

Hi Andre,

your last conclusion below ("never be able to make the SU appear in other location") correct, system doesn't allow it. But it's possible to assign new SU number for found SU and then relabel it (you can sell it as a penalty job because of personnel mistakes).
