Unify PDK Eclipse Plugins and SAP Netweaver Developer Studio

Former Member

Hi,

The PDK cames with some very useful Plugins fro Eclipse (the

MDK possibly too) and the SAP Netweaver Developer Studio

is something like 200 Plugins for Eclipse and 2 original ones.

What I need and want is

- the PDK Eclipse Wizards for developing and deploying

Portal components together with

- JSP and XML Support from the Developer Studio, plus

- HTMLB / Taglib Support in JSP Pages ( none existant yet).

If SAP manages to unify the 3 different Plugin Sets for Eclipse

into one, I wouldn't need anything besides Developer Studio,

no Dreamweaver or similiar. It can't be that diffcult, since most

parts are already there and have already the same target IDE.

Has anybody experience with PDK in Developer Studio?

We really are on track to unify these. But the first possible date, which makes sense is Q1/2004.

You can run all plugins together, I did not encounter problems so far.

HTMLB / Taglib Support in JSP Pages is possible if you import the htmlb-taglib in your IDE (e.g. Dreamweaver or eclipse with an JSP plugin). SAP does not offer naymore its own JSP plugin.
