PDK 6.0 missing

Hi,

I was a little bit suprised that the PDK 6.0 was not enclosed in the SAP WAS Developer Edition 6.40. Is this developer edition not the beta for SAP Netweaver Developer Edition?

It`s quite funny to see how to develop WebDynpros and web applications based on servlets and JSPs with the Netweaver Developer Studio but as the EP is the declared front end for the customer it would be most interesting to see how iView development fits into Netweaver.

Can I download a beta of PDK 6.0 anywhere?

Helmut

Regarding the SAP WAS Developer Edition: I think you downloaded 6.30, which is a beta not 6.40, this one will be integrated with PDK 60.3 (SP3)

The first PDK60, available for download, will be SP2 in October, which still has an underlying WAS 6.20. SP3 then will have an underlying WAS6.40 and Webdynpro.

In SP3 (Q1 2004) Webdypro functionality will support the major Portal Component Development features. Later also all more sophisticated features.

Hello everybody,

I always read in this topic "end of october", "sp2" and so on... Now it's after mid of november, and nothing is offered public...

Any new realistic date?

Best regards

Detlev

Hello all,

Rampup phase for EP 6.0 has been prolongated until end of year. Sorry not my decision.

Anyway PDK 60 is avalibale already at iviewstudio. But only as business package. This means it does not contain a portal (see Rampup).

We will have an EP 60 developer edition for download after rampup.

Best Regards,

Oliver

Dear Mr Tammen,

thanks for your request.

The Portal Development Kit 6.0 is currently available for EP 6.0 Ramp-up customers.

With EP 6.0 unrestricted shipment (end of October) we plan to provide a PDK dowload version as well.

Please check SDN on a regular base for updates.

Kind regards,

Markus Fuchs, SAP EP Product Management
