Web Dynpro Dropdown

Hi,

I have a Web Dynpro table in which I have a dropdown/type column.

Now I want to bind the texts-attribute to a node that is outside of my table node to be able to change an element once and see the impact in all the rows.

Here is what I have in my context.

RowNode

-- attribute1

-- attribute2

NodeForDropdownBinding

-- attribute1

When binding the DD to the node NodeForDropdownBinding, I experience some problems that make me doubt that is the good way to do want I want.

Does someone know how to do that ?

Regards,

Mathieu

    Hi Mathieu,

We have opened a Web Dynpro forum and the topic of that forum is more relevant to your question, and you will have a better chance of getting a helpful response. You can get to it by selecting SDN Forums on the left-hand navigation of the SDN Community Area. It will open a list of all available forums for you to choose from.

    Best Regards, Mark.

P.S. Sorry that the current forum functionality does not allow us to move your question for you.

P.P.S. Now we are able to move forum threads and do so. Because Sujan added an additional question.

    Hi,

I have got some basic doubt with the dropdown. I am a new comer to WebDynpro. Please tell me if I have to have a list box with some values from the SAP, for examples all the customers, do I need to call a BAPI exclusively for that or do WebDynpro provide some automation for SEARCH HELPs or VALUE HELPs.

    Thanks in advance

    Regards

    Sujan

    Hi Mathieu,

If I correctly understood, You are trying to have a table column with dropdown values. In that case the value/model node which is the source of the table itself should contain the value attribute for the dropdown.

The corresponding value attribute could be populated using a simple type or at run time using IWDModifiableSimpleValueSet

    Thanks and Regards,

    Sam Mathew
