Hello,

I had experienc ed a similar problem in one of my projects when th ematerial was transferred from legacy system to new system using EDI. This was because the ISO codes of units of measure were not updated in CUNI transaction of the target system.

Was your system upgraded/migrated in 2009? If yes, then this may be the problem.

I would not suggest any changes in MARA table directly.

Since you say that there have been only two postings for this material, I would suggest the following:

1) Clean up current stock

2) Unlock the base UoM field

3) Change the UoM to PAC

4) Lock the filed

5) Make stock postings again

Please consult your FI consultant before emptying the stock.

Before doing all this you may check if you can change the UoM by unlocking the field without emptying the stock. But I doubt if that is possible.

Thanks!

I am not talking about MB51, I am asking about current base unit of measure in MM03

Do you see change documents in MM03? (just in case that the base unit was changed in material master)

Are you sure that PAC still exists in transaction CUNI (table T006)

Was the base unit changed?

do the following:

SE16 for table MARA.

execute it for your material.

choose from menu Settings > User parameter. if the box in front of "check conversion exit" is active, then remove it.

Now look at your material and tell me what content you see in field MEINS.

next step:

execute SE16 for table T006.

find the record which has the unit that you saw in field MEINS for your material in field MSEHI..

What unit do you see in field MSEH3?

so you certainly created somewhere an inconsistency. table changes are not the solution for such complex issues.

Maybe exact such kind of change caused your problem originally
