Why are all columns in header for a file format are not written?

Hi Experts,

I have created a file format used in a dataflow as a target of a query.

The format has 4 columns and I have set the settings

- Style to Header

- Write row header to Yes

The query selects 3 of the 4 columns.

In the target file, only the columns tfield name that were selected in the query are written to the header in the file. I was expecting ALL the fields defined in the file format to be present. This should be independant from the query. The file format has a header and this header should then be written, values or no values.

Is this really the expected behavior? To me this seems like a bug. The expectation is to have the complete header since this file can be used in follow up processes where column not filled by this query could be filed by another one or used in manual update. The file format should be respected irrespective if the column is filled or not.

Thanks a lot & Best Regards
