Hi all
I have developed a small addon . When i try to access B1 through terminal server , will get the addon successfully connected message but the addon will take around 1 min to load. If i again connect to the same company again it takes only 3 seconds (with out logging off from the terminal server). Is there any solution for this ?
Thanks in advance
Regards
Arun
Hello Arun,
Please check that the TS settings related to clean up TEMP directory on Exit is checked or not.
If the TS cleans up the Temporary directory when you disconnect (logs off) from the TS client, every time, when you log on via TS client and start sap b1, the SAP downloads the DI API (OBServer) components, which is approx 100-200 MB.
This is unrequired network traffic.
This is the solution you reqiured.

Hi Arun,
I'm not aware of any performance hit by keeping the users' temp folders between sessions. However, it's obviously going to take up more disk space as temp folders tend to fill up with files that aren't cleared out correctly by the applications used. That could impact the performance if the server gets low on disk space. You could run a batch file as part of the user's login script to clear out their temp folder (except for the SM_OBS_DLL folder ) at the start of each session.
Kind Regards,
Owen
Hello Arun,
I never clean the temp folder on TS systems except one case: when we pacthed the SAP b1 version (my experience to make a clear after each pacth).
If you done any pacthes please clean the temp folders of the users.......
Otherwise B1 has also a performance probelm: when you have 2 network card in the same server, and the one of them is not used. The solution is to disable the not used card and the connection at logon (connection to license server) will be speded up.

János
