cjic settlement

hello

i have some problem in settling the costs of wbs.

i have posted cost to a wbs having xxxx business area.

and some of my friend created asset with business are yyyy.

while creating the settlement rule in cjic i used the asset with business area yyyy for the wbs with business are xxxx.

system is not objecting in sving the settlement rule.

as well system is allowing to post the cost in cj88 with full settment and in automatic settlement.

This is very much allowed... You can settle WBS of one Bus ARea to Asset of another Bus Area...

This is correct from system's perspective and can not be changed

I want to know why cant we restrict this at jic level.

if no can we stop posting the values in cj88 at full settlment?

Hi Anna

No, You can not stop this.. you can very much settle one bus area WBS to asset of another Bus Area

Using some BADIs or ENhancement - You can achieve this.. Write a Validation in Asset Accounting

IMG > Asset ACC > Master Data > Define Validation.. Use the exit here to write your code

If you dont want to settle WBS at all - Use settlement profile with "Settlement not allowed"
