Templete Quotation

Dear experts

Does anyone know if its possible to create quotations based on a templete ?

Users have got many quotations to create with the same list of matrials and quantity.

I just need a templete and it should not link to any other document. Something like task list ...

Any ideas ?

hi,

please check whether:

LSMW/BDC or BAPI.

out of this three best solution is going for BAPI for uploading the records for VA21.

please take the format which is mentioned above.

Yes,

you can create quotations in bulk with upload functionality. You have to develop upload program with required fields could be text file or excel format.

Fields can be some thing as mentioned below ( this may or may not exactly required in your case)

P.O No

P.O Date

Order Type

Sales Org

Distribution Channel

Division

Sold to Party

Ship to Party

Material

Qty

Customer Requested Date

Order Reason

Hi,

No its not the output . its VA21 .. They cant enter 100 materails all the time in the Quotation . Too many

so they just want a templete to copy or upload each time they create a Quotation.

I am looking at the Propose Item function - however that somehow links the Quotation to the copied doc ..

Not good. I just want a templete ..

Hi MR,

If this is the Case, you can use item proposal.

1. Create an item proposal in VD51.

2. Maintain the all the 20 materials in the item proposal screen and save it.

3. Note the Item proposal document number.

4. You can use this item proposal document number for any quotation.

5. In VA21 after filling sold to party details, go to Edit>Additional Functions>Propose items --> specify the item proposal document number.

6. Then you will get all the 20 materials in your quotation by default.

Thank you for your response. Yes it helps.

I have 1 more question though.

After creating the Quotation based on the item proposal , there seems to be a link there in teh document flow.

Is there a way i can hide the item proposal flow . We dont want everyone to know that the quotation was copied from a templete .. we just want a fast way to create it but it should not be seen ...

Hi MR,

Yes you can do without document flow.

For this all you need to do

1. Create a new document type by copying PV as ZPV

2. Create a new item category type by copying PVN as ZZP

3. Maintain Copy Control from ZPV to QT and as well ZZP to AGN in VTAA.

4. Maintain all the required fields in both header and item level.

5. In the item level Copy control, Maintain Update Document flow field as blank(do not create document flow records) and Positive Negative as Zero.

Hi

This is helpful but after trying it out

the doc flow still appears

looks like am stuck with it .
