Missing SAP Menu from Crystal Reports

Former Member

Hi,

I got CR SP3 12.3.0.601 and Sap integration pack SP3 12.3.0.601 installed. Also SAP GUI w/ 3.5 Option enabled is installed. But the Query Menue is missing - also MDX Querys just doesn't show the correct Names - just the generated technical Names.

What is wrong with the installation?

thx Johannes

Hi,

Regarding the Technical names displayed for the query objects, you can change in the Crystal Report Designer Options.

Select File --> Options from the CR Designer menu.

In the Options wizard select the Database tab and select 'Show description' option in Tables and fields section.

Select system tables and synonyms in Data Explorer section.

Now, check the proper description of the query objects you have selected.

Hope this helps for you.

Hi,

make sure that SAP GUI with BW 3.5 and BEx Add Ons is installed and that you select all connectivity options and the SAP toolbar from the SAP Integration Kit Installation.

Hi,

Make sure to install SAP Gui - CR Designer and then SAP IK.

while instsalling SAP IK, go for custom install and make sure all the components are enable including SAP menu.

Ramu.
