Change the order type for a sales document already created

please let me know if there is any possibility for changing the order type for sales document (sales order) already created,

HI Folks,

If your existiing sales order( sales doc type) is configured the alt sales doc type 1 and alt sales doc type 2 is with any other doc types then you can change your existing sales orders to the alternate doc types.

This can be done in the VOV8 T code.

Ram ,your solution is right for 2 alternative documents to some extent , please let me know the possibility to enter one of the sales document types among many alternate document types because here we have to change the order type because the users would like to change in to rush , cash, and some times consignment order type according to the customer needs, at least for 3 alternate document types

Why can't you create seperate sales orders ? What is buisness reason to change existing sales order ?

HI Chakradhar,

Please check the your sale order related doc type had configured as i suggested. if yes, you can change the doc type as you required using radio button which refers sales doc type and system will redetermine the all the activities.

Hi,

Rambabu is correct. Check the alternate sales document types which your current sales document type is having in VOV8 transaction. You can have the current sales document type replaced with the assigned alternate sales document type 1 or alternate sales document type 2 during run time in the during creation or change mode subject to the current sales order is not having any subsequent document. Re-pricing will happen accordingly and all the things of order will get redetermined.

Hi

If master data is there u can change the account group. or material type.

but it is a transactional data if u change the document it will impact the pricing determination and lot of implications are there.

so dont think about change, go for cancellation of the document and create new one.

Hi,

This is not possible once you already saved the order with specific order type.

You will have to delete this order and recreate one.

you can do it when you delete the sales order and create a new one.
