RZ12 parallel_generators and a NO ACTIVE ISTANCE

Hi Gurus,

I have a question for you

In order to optimize the performance of the job, I have configured the RZ12 and the parallel_generators

Before running the job, an application server crashed, so on RZ12 were available then in the 3 active servers and 1 inactive

(total of four entries)

The job (RPCIPE01) hangs on the call function starting_new_task

May the FM SPTB_INITIALIZE should be customized in order to check the available servers before the task?

May i should implement the recommendations of this note?

The fact is that by removing the entry of the inactive server on the RZ12, the job is finished correctly

Hi,

Normally the job waits for the app server to be up (as long as it is maintained in server group). if you delete it, it will skip it and go ahead).

So please go ahead for SAP note implementation to check the app server status (up/down).
