SAP BPC EPMMemberDesc , #Error, no current connection.

We are using SAP BPC 10.0 SP 31. We are showing ID and Desc under 2 diff columns . ID = we have selected ID only and in Description we are showing the description using = EPMMemberDesc(B18, "M_CONSOL").

The descriptions are showing fine when we log into BPC. However, if we log off from EPM we are getting the below error :

#Error, no current connection.

Any inputs on how to resolve the issue will be highly appreciated.

If you are talking about report, not about input form - you can try to set in User Options -> Other:

Static Offline Without Protection

Also, if you Protect sheet before going offline you can check "Use Group/Ungroup"

Static Offline Without Protection will copy data from your original sheet to the new sheet, hiding original. When you go online the new sheet will be deleted. Any changes by user will be lost. But for the report it's OK!

Sorry, but descriptions are delivered from connected BPC server. Without connection - no description.

Enable "Offline Mode" to view descriptions without connection!

Hello Vadim

I tried using the offline mode. The " Trial balance " report is designed in BPC in such a manner that the the grouping is done with the help of excel command (DATA TAB--> Group). So if the user tries to click the + sign in left side of the report, we are getting the below message even though the sheet is unprotected

Can you suggest any other work around on such a requirement wherein the user can view these reports without connecting to BPC
