Universe designer don't recognize my odbc connection

Hi all

I have one issue to try connecting my Universe designer to the Oracle database (database server). I did one taste connectivity with the same parameters in the TOAD application (user, password, net service, host, port, etc) and it works successfully, but if I try to do that in Universe designer, appears u201CDBD: no suitable driveru201D message (application server)

I have BOe XI 3.1 and Oracle 10.0.2

I configured my ODBC connection in the System DSN and tasted it, and was successful, I reviewed the host, port, etc. in the TSNAMES file and all is correct.

Any solution

Hi,

As per the error displayed, the Universe Designer is unable to find the Oracle drivers to connect to the server.

Try installing the supported drivers and then check the connection once again.

I installed u201CSQLSERVER2008_OLEDB10u201D driver, and it doesnu2019t work, ¿Do you know which the correct driver that must be installed is?

Hi,

Perform the custom install by selecting the Data Access components.

Finally I can generate the connection between Oracle and Universe Designer, but now I have a doubt, my source tables was generated in SAP BCM, and I´m not sure what kind of connection I need to use:

- Oracle 10 (client Oracle)

- SAP Business Objects (PCM MDX Connector)

In the first case, in the step 4, the system requires two parameters (ConnectInit and u201CConsejou201D), I donu2019t know what I need to establish in these parameters but the connection can be establish. But when I tried to add the tables in the new Universe appears u201CORA-00900: invalid SQL statementu201D error message

In the second case the connection test is OK, but when I try to complete the step four, appear one error message indicating one field is required, but I donu2019t have any field empty.
