Z Delivery Type Determination

We created a Z delivery and Z item category by copying DIG delivery ( Inb.Deliv.Gds Mvmnt) and DIGN item category(Goods Mov-Inb. Dely). I created a custom movement type copying of 501 and assigned to Z item category.

Now when I am doing MIGO using Z01 (Without purchase order) movement system still picking the standard DIG delivery type. Am I missing anything? I thought movement type should help to determine the Z delivery type.

If you believe that sales doc type (Item Cat/Schedule line) determination for a non-referenced sales order delivery does not need.
Then your understanding is not correct.
Though the delivery is not referenced, still you need them.
As you have configured the customer Item Category, hope you understand that without creating sales Item Category.
You can't create a sales delivery Item category.
Similarly, to have your delivery pick correct movement type, you would need Schedule Line Cat (VOV5) determination for the item category.
Particularly copying control (VTLA), refer Sales Doc DZL and Delv Type DIG relation.
Refer Item cat NLC/NLN config.

Moreover, if this related to EWM.
Kindly check your SAP ECC Item Category determination with EWM Item Type.
If there are entries for DIG/DIGN are already there.
Then you need to remove them and retain your custom DELV Type & Item Category combination.

this item category (DIGN ) doesn't have any assignment in schedule line....i think because it doens't require Sales order.

Hi Sethi,

You also need to make changes in Schedule line and assign the same in Item category so that the same you can use!

Thanks,
