Remote site disconnects: connection to partner 'x.x.x.x:32xx' broken

At what appears to be random times, we have folks at our remote locations disconnected from SAP. They don't all lose their connection at the same time. No one at our main campus is experiencing this trouble. Is this something someone's seen before?

The users see a message 'connection to partner 'x.x.x.x:32xx' broken' (I've removed the IP).

In our dispatcher log we see entries like::

Tue Nov 9 15:56:48 2010

***LOG Q0I=> NiIRead: recv (73: Connection reset by peer) [nixxi.cpp 4424]

  • ERROR => NiIRead: SiRecv failed for hdl 401 / sock 361

(SI_ECONN_BROKEN/73; I4; ST; x.x.x.x:1258) [nixxi.cpp 4424]

Network error of client T372, NiBufReceive (-6: NIECONN_BROKEN), dp_tm_status=3

Client address of T372 is x.x.x.x(

***LOG Q04=> DpRTmPrep, NiBufReceive (11941TWILKINS 372 US....... ) [dpxxdisp.c 12320]

RM-T372, U11941, 010 TWILKINS, US......., 15:50:18, M0, W12, ST22, 2/1

So far I've run a couple of niping tests, based on packet sizes and haven't see where any of them failed

Thank you for any details you might have into this.
