SAP Marketing Cloud with Facebook integration - Facebook App review

Hello Experts,

Can you please help with Facebook App review?

I followed SAP documentation on how to setup Facebook integration for Sentiment Engagement app, requested Facebook for manage_pages and publish_pages permission but my request is being denied again. I have included short video on what the app is doing, I even created test account for them to see themselves. In this specific connection we won't publish anything - this is inbound type connection only. I can't get through the review process - their feedback is constantly: "Cannot replicate the functions of manage_pages and publish_pages".

Can anyone share successful app review?

We are integrating Facebook with the SAP Marketing Cloud. In the Marketing Cloud there is an app ‘Sentiment Engagement’ where we can gather data from the Facebook fan page from the client. With the Facebook app we want to gather the posts from the fan page and also the comments on those posts by the Facebook users. We need the permission publish_pages to be able to gather any comments from our fanpage to the Marketing Cloud.

Web:

  1. Go the Facebook fan page as the owner of the page and create a post.
  2. Afterwards Facebook users will react on this post
  3. Then go to the SAP Marketing Cloud
  4. Fill in your login details
  5. In the SAP Marketing Cloud go to the ‘Sentiment Engagement’ app
  6. In the left panel in the Sentiment Engagement app change the timeline to ‘years’ and under channels click on Facebook
  7. All the posts will show up from the fanpage.
  8. Comments of users are not shown yet, as we need the publish_pages permission to be able to show the comments of the Facebook users on posts.

Manage Pages:

We are integrating Facebook with the SAP Marketing Cloud. In the Marketing Cloud there is an app ‘Sentiment Engagement’ where we can gather data from the Facebook fan page from the client. With the Facebook app we want to gather the posts from the fan page and also the comments on those posts by the Facebook users. We need the permission manage_pages to be able to retrieve the Page Access Token for the Facebook page.
