Dear Benno,

the HCM Master data is SAP and the time recording system is external software. uploading the data without any interface to SAP. updating it mannual.

and also can we update the negtive time data automatically using an interface?

Hi jimcyspet

What information do you need in SAP for what reason?

There is the standard interface from SAP to time subsystems HR-PDC (former KK2). Probably your subsystem is SAP certified, then you should definitely use the standard interface. Of course a batch input solution could do the trick as well (or even manual maintenance depending on the amount of data).

Of course if you simplify the work schedules (actually using severals but only maintaining one in SAP) you lose some information when distribution the information into SAP.

I would recommend that you maintain all work schedules in use in SAP as well.

cheers,

Benno

Hi jimcyspet

first of all you have to define what you want to achieve.

One question that raised into my mind is: what is your leading HCM master data system? In my opinion it you schould maintain most data possible there (and eventually distribute it if needed).

If it's not your SAP system it might be a possibility for convenience to maintain just only one work schedule if the deduction, calculations and reports are not affected by the reduction on just one work schedule.

I would recommend to maintain all your work schedules in SAP HCM in the long run. Even in case of distribution of data towards SAP you wouldn't lose any information (about work schedule details).

cheers,

Benno
