SAP IBP Permission filter is not working for

Hello Experts,

I have one issue with the permission filters of SAP IBP.

I am trying to create a valid permission filter to be able to maintain/change the key figures for only selected locations IDs, which are defined in the permission filter as criteria. Other words:

As a planer, I want to be able to maintain/change the key figure "Sales Adjustments" only for the locations IDs 0001,3100,3200,3210,3300,3500 and 3910.

For that a permission filter has been created and the user group with the planner has been added into this filter as following:

After the creation of this permission filter, all Key figures incl. Sales Adjustment in the planning view were not modifiable.

to solve this problem, I added the same key figure "Sales Adjustments" into the Business role restrictions, which is defined for the planner.

After this change, the key figure "Sales Adjustment" was editable.

My expectation was that i will be able to maintain(change) the key figure "Sales Adjustments in a planning view template with the filter Location IDs 0001,3100,3200,3210,3300,3500 and 3910.

When I load the planning view, change the key figure "Sales Adjustments" and save the date, then i am receiving the following warning message:

To skip this message, I added also the Version ID "BASELINE" into the Business Role restrictions.

Then i was able to change and to save the key figures for this Location IDs.

The issue, which i am facing now, as the same user, if i load a new planning view template with other location IDs (e.g: 4100 and 4200 not selected in the permission filter), (My Expectation:) I should not be able to maintain/change the key figure "Sales Adjustments" due to permission filter.

But I can unfortunately maintain/change this key figure also for other location IDs.

It seems that, the permission filter is not working correctly.

What could be the problem? Does the Version ID "BASELINE" in the Business Role restrictions take precedence?

Thanks

Hi Lingaiah,

Thanks for the SAP notes. I found the solution by set the READ restriction in business role to "Restricted" and set the Key figures to *Unrestricted.

Now I am able to change KFs only for the Location ID, which have been defined into the permission filter.

Thanks

Levent
