Cannot see control Web Dynpro

Hello,

I am beginner in Web Dynpro.

I am trying to create a new component, please see attached file, i cannot see marked control.

I looked at your screen shot and I'm more confused now about what you are asking. You circled the toolbox as well as the table UI element in the preview area. What exactly are you saying you are missing? Is this a screenshot from your system or an example of what you think you are missing from your system?

I am referring one of reference document to build first web dynpro application.

Attached two links here

one is reference document and go to page number 16, there you will find controls.

Second one my application building screen shots, and you can see that controls is not there.

Your entire View Layout is not displaying from the looks of things. You should search the forums as this is a common question/problem. It can often be related to network settings or incorrect URL configuration on the server as this section of the ABAP workbench is implemented as a web application itself.

Thanks for your kind support and guidelines.

As per your instruction started search and i got following reference.

" In case an error occurs and in the View Layout we canu2019t see UI Element Library and View

Designer, we have to map the IP address to the host name, because the Web Dynpro ABAP

uses a fully qualified domain name FQDN; in conclusion, the URLs that contain the IP

addresses are not supported

To realize this mapping, we use the HOSTS file (C:/Windows/system32/drivers/etc) where we

enter the IP address and the host name, separated by (at least) one space

In case an error occurs: u201CURL http://hostname:port/sap/bc/wdvd call was terminated because the

corresponding service is not availableu201D u2013 we have to activate the respective service by using the

SICF transaction "

My case i am not using DHCP instead used " virtual interface adapter MS Loopback Adapter".

Therefore in this case what IPAddress and host name i will provide inside etc\hosts file ?

So you are running the server locally on your own computer? I think your question is now outside the scope of this forum. Is this the trial addition from SCN? If so, there is a special forum for trial installation problems. I can't tell you what your IP address or host name is on your pc. You should lookup these settings in your loopback network device setup.

Hi,

I do not know from which version this has been changed. i am using 7.01 > sp5 i guess. I am not having the Toolset the way you have posted in your URL.

The UI elements are rearranged into different categories. I am not missing any Elements though.
