Hi Experts,
Is there a trick to make Universe object format visible in WebI? I cannot make it working.
I am using XI 3.1 SP3.
One of the reasons I would like to use this is to create a URL Hyperlink object in WebI "Available Objects" panel for an ad-hoc drag&drop report creating.
I can create a variable with a URL but each time you drag&drop it into the report block (eg. table) you have to right-click and press "Read content as hyperlink" which my client considers not a user friendly approach.
Thank You
why not you create that variable into the universe it self, and from the universe you can change its format to be red as HTML or Hyperlink.
so you will have it ready into the webi itself.
but there is not way to show the objects format in webi that you've done into the unvierse.
good luck

Hi Amr Salem,
This is exactly what I tried to do at first: I tried to create a dimension in my olap universe with a URL tag in object properties select statement as per universe designer guide. Webi gives an error about incorrect XML statement as soon as I tried to use this dimension in webi query.
Then I tried simple font formatting of existing universe dimension and I could not see any affect in webi report view. Webi report applies webi default formatting to my dimension.
Is there any trick to activate universe object format to see it in webi?
Thank you
