Language in Text Determination of Delivery

Hi All,

I have a doubt regarding the Language used in Text of Delivery header(or any documents. Where does this language comes from ? if we enter the text data in particular text id by default a language comes. My assumption was it should depend on Logon language but i have scenario where in different id comes up with different language. And once we change the text data it changes to logon langauge attaching the screenshot below.

As you can see in the image text seal numbers is in English and it should be in German when i login with DE as login language. But when i login from DE it takes the English language and when i delete it and enter again it will be changed to German(DE). I am assuming it to be a bug as there are no configuration seen for it.

Do advise if someone has come across same issue.

If there is a different language set for customer and material, then, while creating delivery with reference to sale order, system would fetch the text language from Sold-To.

Thanks for the Reply Lakshmi.

But what i find strange here is for some text it is taking English and for some it is taking German. Language maintained for Sold To is English.

and all these texts are determined in Delivery item level.

The screenshot shows a custom text. Honestly, who on SCN could know where it came from? G Lakshmipathi has already replied regarding standard functionality, please do some troubleshooting directly in your system. Ask someone locally to assist, if necessary.

I agree with Lakshmi, but even if it is custom text it comes from the determination, what does customization has to do here, moreover I mentioned the text just to highlight the language which I am referring to,

Even for the standard texts behavior is same.

Google -> "text language determination order site:sap.com" -> very many existing SCN posts. This is one of the top results with a very detailed explanation from an SAP employee. There are many other posts covering many other scenarios. I bet SAP Help exists on this as well.

The text is not adjusted according to the user's login language when the existing documents are displayed. And if you delete one text and replace it with another then of course the first text is gone. There is no bug in what you're describing.
