ALV download to XML - unable to open teh xml file.

Hi,

I have got ALV output. im doing the folllwing steps:

1. Select EXPORT drop down and click on XML Export

2. save it.

3. The issue is im unable to open the XML file in saved path. The issue is with Payment Date field(AUGDT).

4. Do a Right click->open with ->notepad (openwith the XML file with notepad).

5. Replace the ss:Type="DateTime">0000-00-00 with Data ss:Type="String">0000-00-00

6. Than we can open the xml file.

What should i do in the date field of ALV output so that the XML file is opened.

Is this a custom ALV? If so, have you considered changing the date field to a char field in the ALV grid?
