Error :Company code xxxx is not set up for Materials Management

Hi ,

I am geting the following error while executing TCode MM01 "Company code XXXX is not set up for Materials Management" Message no. M3152

Further, I am not allowed to maintain current period using TCode OMSY(Maintain Company Codes for Materials Management) its giving me an error "You have entered an invalid period for company code XXXX" Message no. MM007

Currently we are using a Year dependent FY variant with 12 posting period and No special periods.

Since our system is a new one can I use Tcode MMPV to initiate a period ?

Else advice accordingly.

Error Message: Company code GGG9 is not setup for Material

Management.

Solution:

1. T.code: OMSY: Click on position-Enter company code (GGG9),

Assign Year (2022, Period-05) check () ABP , save it.

2. T.Code: OMS2: Click on position-Enter FERT (Finished Goods)-

Select (FERT-Finished Goods)-Click on Quantity/Value updating (left

side icon)-Click on position- Enter valuation Area (GGG9)- Check ()

Quantity updating and check () Value updating, then save it.

hi,

you have two options here:

one standard option: i think you have copied plant from the standard company code. so that the period has copied as it is in your plant also.

there are 4 t.codes for that

OMSY,OMS2,OB37,OB62.

if all is ok then you have to follow the second option.

GOTO enterprise structure:

delete the plant and company code assignment and go to posting periods change it to your current posting period & save it.

and proceed as it is.

You can check in T:OBY6 - COmpany code global data, check which Fiscal year is assigned to the relevant comp code

&

Tx: OB29 - Define Fiscal year variant-

It should be Calender Year.

Dear Friend,

Please maintain following config,

Goto SPRO> Logistics general> Basic settings-->Maintain comp code for Material Manangement OR

Tcode: OMSY and maintain Company Code for current Period .

When I try to maintain current period i am getting the error "You have entered an invalid period for company code XXXX" Message no. MM007.....I had already mentioned.....tell me if there is something wrong with year dependent FY variant.

Dear Friend,

Please check with MM Consulatnt what is opened MM period in system as on date or Check with Tcode: MMRV

and maintain the same in OMSY.

For your better understanding in Tcode : MMRV it will be like that,

Current period 05 2010

Previous period 04 2010

Last period in prev.year 12 2009

Then maintain as follow in Tcode:OMSY

2010 5 2010 4 2009 12

Since my system is new i think i have to run the period closing program for company code to initiate a new period ? Let me know if i am on the right track...
