Status Replace by measure in the appropriation request

Hi,

This is a question for IM experts ( I am not sure If it is the correct forum),

We need an appropriatrion request change its status to replaced by measure, but measure ( WBS) is not going to be created from the measure even if from CJ20 transaction and then is associated to the AR.

Is this possible?

AR bears the approval levels, Cash flow statistics, NPV, IRR , Pay Back period calculations

Project is the Executing object of the concept where as AR is the pre project Investment Request which justifies the Investment.

Even though we delete the AR (replace with measure),,, without this Investment decisions cannot be taken.

1. You need not delete the AR. The process flow inherits a standard functionality of replacing the AR with your measure.

2. Either you maintain "Replace with Measure" against the AR type in customizing OR manually select the replace with measure status once the measure is ready.

The problem Is we have a WBS assigned to a AR and AR assigned to investment program, when AR is approved we need have WBS assigned to program inversion to share the budget but we have to :

1) delete AR --> WBS assigned

2) assign WBS to PI

to achieve thisis.Budget is approved for several WBS if we make step 1 we lost the relation

Sara,

Dont assign the WBS to AR.

You can achieve this by syncing the AR number and the Project definition number.

Follow this:

Create AR, assign this to IP, After approval of AR, Activate Project definition. Then in CJ02 create the WBS element and assign the IP to the WBS element. Here you have the link between the AR and proj def.

But still I am not understanding your requirement properly. Are you trying to delete any AR??? or The WBSE attached to AR?

Why you need AR if you wish to delete in later stages..simply you create the IM program, position ID and assign WBS element to it via CJ02/CJ20n/IM12. It works and can give budget through IM52 also.

Could you tell us why you want AR in the flow?

HI SAP IM expert,

In order to meet the need of my customer, we made a program ( with BAPI ) in order to automatically create the Appropriation request and the project definition and Wbs by uploading a file...first steps works fine until the creation of the WBS

the assignment of WBS to approriation request is not possible , receiving error message project definition does not exist but when I check the project definition via cj03 , I find my project !!! I checked also that the field INACT is empty in ia table PROJ ,

How can I assign a WBS to an appropriation request ??

the problem is that I turn in round , I don't know if something is missing of or the order of the objects created is correct

1) Appropriation Request ( via Bapi BAPI_APPREQUEST_CREATE )

2 )BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT and wait

3)Activate Project Definition to assign WBS Element for Appr.Requ (CJDW_PROJ_ACTIVATE_IM)

4)Change now the Appr.Request to add the WBS Element. (BAPI_APPREQUEST_CHANGE)

5 BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT and wait

6)Create WBS Element (BAPI_PS_INITIALIZATION after BAPI_BUS2054_CREATE_MULTI)

7)BAPI_PS_PRECOMMIT

😎 BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT and wait

*Error message received WBS element BE/10/IPKG/1404/D-056 does not exist*

*Message no. ABPS021*

Hi all,

This is my actual flow:

Create Appropriation request ( attached to a investment program) --> create a project ( from AR) --> Change status Replaced by measure --> when budget is approved my WBS is linked to program position (IM52).

Now we can draw this flow :

Create Appropriation request ( attached to a investment program) --> create a project ( from CJ20) --> attach project to AR when budget is approved my WBS is linked to program position (IM52).

In this second case WBS doesn't appear in IM52 linked to the porgram and I suppoused that the problem was related to the status of the AR.

Go to the WBS element select the details option at the bottom (Crtl+F9). Click on Investment Program enter the investment program and position id. Save it

Now check in IM52, you will see the WBS element under the position id.

What is the status of AR?

The status is Approved.

Measured created will not be there, since the WBS element is created out of AR.

This worked for me. I am able to see the WBSE in IM52 which is manually assigned to AR.

If you are not goint to create or assign measure to Appropriation request then I dont think it is possible.

But why you need this? What is the purpose? Can you please brief your business scenario??
