Year Change in MMPV

I have a issue in my present client where they want to test the below scenario.

They created a PO referring to Real Internal Order which have budget in that particular year. Now in next year when they did the Goods Receipt they want to check whether the system will check for the budget of the Internal order or not.

There is an OSS note 046209 which explains that system would not check during Goods Receipt and if needed we can achieve it through user exit.

Is there anyway i could test this case. I created a PO on year ending lets say DEC 15th referring to Internal order. I could not do the MIGO with posting date as 2011. I tried to close the period of 12 in MMPV but my system throws an error of MMPV_DATE_CHECK referring to note 1082841.
