Starting Shadow Instance is failing

Hi guys,

hope anyone can help me.

I am currently upgrading a system Neweaver 7.00 to EHP1 using EHPI

I am now stucking in phase START_SHDI_FIRST where the shadow instance should be started first time.

EHPI gives me only a few hints for the problem: view files 'STARTSFI.LOG' and 'DEVTRACE.LOG'

DEVTRACE.LOG does not exist at all

I tried to start manually the shadow instance.

in SAPehpi.ECO I have this entry

FAIL: NIECONN_REFUSED (Connection refused), NiRawConnect failed in plugin_fopen()

Process with ID 21039 terminated with status 1

Has anyone an idea what could be the reason for the problem?

Operating system is a Suse Linux x64
